JACKSONVILLE'S POOL WITH A MISSION

Our vision for the Good Shepherd Church is “to return to our roots.” More than 100 years ago, the Good Shepherd Church was to be a 7-day-a-week place to serve the needs of the children, youth, and families of Jacksonville. In 1920, Mrs. Cummer gave the Good Shepherd Church an astonishing gift, the Pool, with the number one stipulation that the mission of the Pool was to “teach Jacksonville to swim.”
